Administrative services under public supervision

The centre for political and legal reforms jointly with the Center for the study of local government with the financial support of the representative office of the F. Naumann Foundation in Ukraine on October 9 held a seminar on "the Role of the public in improving the quality of administrative services".
 
The main purpose of the event was to promote better quality of administrative services through the improvement of the activity of The Center of Providing Administrative Services by involving the public in the monitoring of their activities.
 
During the seminar representatives of NGOs, heads of The Center of Providing Administrative Services(CPAS) and officials have discussed the trends and prospects of state policy in the sphere of administrative services; acquainted with the experience of the best of CPAS for example, in Lutsk and Volyn region, were presented the monitoring and interaction between society and authorities to build effective CPAS.
 

"The Center of Providing Administrative Services - is a place of dialogue between the authorities and communities of the city. In the CPAS, citizens should receive any information, advice or services with appropriate living conditions, professional and friendly staff. Precisely the focus on citizens on resolving of their needs should be a priority in the activities of the authorities. It is extremely important to develop proper CPAS, which citizens will knew and to which they could refer, and it is necessary to combine the efforts of all levels of government and the public," says lawyer and activist of the NGO "Community Development" Tetyana Panasenko.
