Visited the residents of the hospice department of the Olesko District Hospital
Veronika Khidchenko, the head of the CF "Rozvytok Hromady", tells about another charity trip of our volunteers:
All of us will grow old someday. At least, everyone hopes that she will be cozy and carefree, among grandchildren and pets, somewhere on the edge of the village in a small house with all the benefits and a view of the lake. Unfortunately, this does not happen to everyone.
The Hospice Department of the Olesko District Hospital is located in a former cozy estate near the Lviv-Kyiv highway. I don't know if anyone will like it today, but once upon a time, in its heyday, the life of a large family with servants and stables for horses was clearly humming and bustling here, where today the farm premises of this shelter for sick elderly people are located.
As always, we visit these old women with special warmth and affection, because many of them have relatives who, unfortunately, do not visit them. Grandparents smile, sincerely thank for the simple gifts and treats we brought.
And we, for our part, are very grateful to those permanent donors and partners of the NGO and CF "Rozvytok Hromady", who are steadfastly supporting us in today's difficult times, when everything possible and impossible is being done by our civil society for our defenders at the front. And yet, fortunately, we have such kind friends of the organization who do not forget about lonely elderly people, children and adults with disabilities.
