At the St. Nicholas Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Center, modern greenhouses equipped with drip irrigation systems have already been built. Now they are coming to life.
Together with children with special educational needs, the center’s educators, and the Auchan team, we planted the first strawberry seedlings.
The process took place under the attentive guidance of agronomist Viktoriia, who supported the participants, explained each step and shared her experience.
For the children, this is more than just planting – it is an opportunity to learn something new, develop a sense of responsibility and see the results of their work. Such hands-on activities are at the heart of the project, as they help to build essential life skills, encourage physical activity and improve motor skills. An added benefit is the opportunity to enjoy fresh, environmentally friendly and healthy products grown by their own hands.
As a reminder, the NGO and Charitable Foundation “Rozvytok Hromady” are implementing this project thanks to a €54,000 grant from the Auchan Foundation. The initiative also includes the creation of greenhouses and special space with a mini-kitchen for processing and preparing the harvested produce.
Keep moving forward – creating good together!
