The NGO and CF “Rozvytok Hromady” continues its long-standing tradition of celebrating Vyshyvanka Day. Before the full-scale invasion, we organized large concerts, flash mobs, chess tournaments wearing vyshyvankas, charity events, park decorations, and created a unique cake in the shape of an embroidered Ukrainian rushnyk. This remarkable creation was entered into the National Register of Records of Ukraine and was served to festival guests in the square in front of the Lviv Opera House.
Today, our primary mission is to preserve, support, and carry this important Ukrainian tradition through these challenging times.
As part of the Vyshyvanka Festival, we presented the charity photo project “Red is Love,” the participants of which are incredible women volunteers.
During the festival, the results of the Vyshyvanka Day themed photo zone competition were also announced. The photo zones were made in educational and rehabilitation centers for children in Lviv and Lviv region.
For 1st place, the construction company “Prolend-Invest” presented a projector certificate to Saint Nicholas Educational and Rehabilitation Center.
For 2nd place, “DS Pharmacy” presented a certificate worth UAH 10,000 for the purchase of medical supplies to the “Dovira” Educational and Rehabilitation Center.
For 3rd place, “Monaco” presented a certificate worth UAH 5,000 for the purchase of stationery supplies to Maria’s Protection Educational and Rehabilitation Center.
A special highlight of the festival was the performance “The Soul of Ukraine,” prepared by the BestArt Beauty Studio together with participants of the project “Red is Love”.
Charity lots, which were auctioned during the Vyshyvanka Festival will be directed toward supporting children deprived of parental care and children with special educational needs.
The atmosphere of the event was enriched by the enchanting sounds of cymbaly, performed by Vasyl Parashchuk. The festival concluded with a performance by illusionist Ihor Syvenkyi.
We sincerely thank our friends, partners, and everyone who contributed to organizing and hosting Vyshyvanka Festival 2026. Together, we preserve Ukrainian traditions, support one another, and create important and kind deeds.
