The project “Greenhouses from the Auchan foundation – healthy and delicious, grown with our own hands” continues to develop!
Representatives of the Auchan Ukraine Management Committee recently visited the St. Nicholas Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Center. Together with the NGO and Charity Foundation “Rozvytok Hromady” team, the guests learned about the project’s progress, met its participants, visited the modern greenhouses, and saw how children with special educational needs are learning to care for plants while growing their own fruits and vegetables.
During the visit, the participants discussed the results already achieved, the future development of the initiative, and its long-term prospects. Meetings like these are important because they allow partners not only to see how grant support is creating real impact but also to plan the next steps together.
The NGO and Charity Foundation “Rozvytok Hromady” are implementing this project thanks to a grant from the Auchan Foundation. The project includes modern greenhouses and a special learning space with a mini kitchen, where the children will learn how to process and prepare the produce they have grown themselves.
For the children, this project is about much more than growing vegetables and berries. It is an opportunity to get new practical skills, develop responsibility, improve fine motor skills, work as a team and experience the satisfaction of seeing the results of their own efforts. Most importantly, they get to enjoy healthy, environmentally friendly food grown with their own hands.
