ГО "Розвиток Громади" виграла грант для дітей з особливими освітніми потребами від Фундація Auchan на 54 000 євро

The NGO “Community Development” won a €54,000 grant from the Auchan Foundation for children with special educational needs

Thanks to this, professional greenhouses and a food preparation space will be created at the St. Nicholas Educational and Rehabilitation Center.

The NGO “Community Development” received a €54,000 charitable grant from the Auchan Foundation for the St. Nicholas Multi-Profile Educational and Rehabilitation Center in Bryukhovychi. The funding was awarded for the project “Greenhouses from the Auchan Foundation: Tasty and Healthy with Our Own Hands”, which envisions the creation of greenhouses and a facility for processing and preparing self-grown food products by the center’s children.

This year, 10 organizations competed in the Auchan Foundation’s project competition, each presenting and defending their idea. The winning project was submitted by our NGO, which proposed building greenhouses at the St. Nicholas Center to help children develop a wide range of practical and life skills.

The NGO and Charitable Foundation “Community Development” have been consistently supporting the St. Nicholas Educational and Rehabilitation Center through various initiatives. We are well aware of the needs of the children studying there and always strive to be helpful. For instance, we recently restored a greenhouse that we originally installed nine years ago. We also regularly contribute to major renovations of the classrooms. And while most of our current efforts are focused on supporting Ukrainian Defenders, it’s equally important not to overlook other social and charitable initiatives.

As part of this project, the children will have the opportunity to work with various types of plants—learning when and how to grow them, how to care for them, and how to cook and combine them. To fully implement this educational program, a facility with a mini-kitchen will be built on the Center’s grounds for cooking workshops, along with rooms equipped with specialized tools and equipment for working with fruits and vegetables.

The project will be implemented with the support of the corporate charity foundation “Auchan Foundation,” which has been operating in Ukraine since 2011 and focuses on supporting initiatives related to healthy nutrition. To date, the foundation has helped implement more than 45 initiatives across various regions of Ukraine.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity. Let’s create good together!
