The "Help your neighbor" project was supported by our benefactors again

Solomiya Soroka is our compatriot from Lviv, graduated from the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv musical boarding school and the violin course in Kyiv conservatoire, now she lives and works in the United States as a violin professor at the University of Goshen, Indiana. Her father, Bogdan Soroka is an outstanding graphist. Her little son Anton became well-known to Ukrainians with the main role of the guide in the same named film.

- Being so far from Lviv, I always try to be with you with my soul and heart,- says Ms. Solomiya. - We, our community, our friends, we try to help with everything we can. Of course, we don't do that to be honored. It's very sad to see kids that need special attention. In the USA, we talk about the situation in Ukraine and sometimes we donate material things for orphans through my longtime friend Veronika Hidchenko, who is the head of the "Community Development" charity fund. My son Anton is a member of Plast National Scout Organization. When we arrived in Lviv, we went together to the orphanage №1 which is located on the Tadzhytska street, to bring some things for kids. My son saw all the urgent needs of small Ukrainians who are deprived of parental care. Now, he shares this experience with peers in the United States and encourages their families to do good deeds.

During the month parents of six families with children visited with the Charity Fund "Community Development" and chose the things they needed for themselves. They are citizens with the biggest needs of our city who are included to the permanent social program "Help your neighbor".
