In Ukraine all vulnerable citizens will be provided with free legal aid

From 1 July, 2015 the provision of free secondary assistance will be provided in full, to all categories of socially vulnerable categories of citizens.

The provision of free secondary assistance will be provided in full, from 1 July 2015. This right is available to all categories of persons specified in article 14 of the Law of Ukraine "On free legal aid", in particular, children-orphans, children deprived of parental care, children who are victims of domestic violence, refugees, war veterans, the poor and other socially unprotected categories of citizens. Free secondary legal aid will be granted in civil and administrative cases.

Recall that on June 2, 2011 was adopted the Law of Ukraine "On free legal aid".According to the norms of this Law, free legal aid is divided into:

1) primary - is providing legal information, advices and guidance on legal matters, drafting of applications, complaints and other legal documents, providing assistance in ensuring a person's access to secondary legal aid and mediation.

2) secondary – protection, representing the interests of persons entitled to free secondary legal aid, courts, other state authorities, bodies of local self-government, to other persons; drafting procedural documents.

"Free secondary legal assistance centers that provide free secondary legal aid and the lawyers included in the Registry of lawyers who provide free secondary legal aid. Regional center for the provision of free secondary legal aid in the Lviv region is located by address 79008, Lviv, vul. Valiova, 31," reports a member of the NGO "Community Development", the lawyer Tetyana Panasenko.
