The 6th open chess tournament "In memory of the Heroes of the ATO and the Heavenly Hundred" was held in Lviv

The tournament was charitable - funds were collected for the needs of the Armed Forces. It took place within the "Marathon of Good" to help our defenders. We are gathering for a unit of the SSO, which holds the defense in the Bakhmut direction.

The event was held for the first time at the Warrior's House. More than 100 participants of different ages and chess ratings took part.

The strongest were determined in 6 categories: general tournament, among women, among veterans 50+, among military, among children under 12 years old and among children under 16 years old.

Mykhailo Herasymeniuk won the main tournament. He exactly "went the whole distance" and had only one defeat from the Icelandic grandmaster Margeir Petursson, a member of the supervisory board of Bank Lviv (which is the general partner of the tournament).

It is nice that Mykhailo transferred his winning prize to CF "Rozvytok Hromady" to support our soldiers.

We thank all participants and those who helped in the organization.
