The St. Nicholas Day was held for children from our Center of Help by our NGO at high level
Saint Nicholas invited children from the Center for the families of the deceased militaries in the area of ATO on the show "Wonder Flower", which took place on Saturday in Drama Theatre of Mariya Zankovetska.
Within half an hour all of us were able to laugh and sympathize with the main characters, rejoice with them and sing ... It should be emphasized, that the actors had nice, new costumes, used shiny, colorful materials, that for children is very important in the development and perception of beauty.
After the performance St. Nicholas congratulated everybody. Every child told a poem or sang and got for that a colorful tree-package of sweets. Then, everyone with their parents sang very famous Ukrainian carol "A New Joy":
A new Joy has began, the kind has never been before,
Onthe nativitya bright star shines on all the earth!
Where Christ was born, from the Virgin came into the flesh
As a man in swaddling clothes humbly wrapped
And it still was not the end! In the lobby of the theater, near the beautifully decorated Christmas tree, the scouts from the first battalion named “Daniel King”, with whom our NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" has collaboration, were waiting on the children. They arranged for the children fun and interesting games. The kids played with the girls-scouts in moving games. And meanwhile the older children were more engaged in intellectual and logical games, which nevertheless were also very active.
At the end of St. Nicholas daythe winners received books like a gift from our community, and the theater treated all the children with sugarcotton.
It seems that all went tired, but very happy.
