The third open chess tournament "In Memory of Heavenly Hundred and ATO Heroes" was organized in Lviv

On the 4th of March, the NGO "Community Development" together with partners conducted a traditional annual chess tournament in memory of the newest Heroes of Ukraine, in order to pay homage to the fallen patriots. This time, intellectual competitions gathered nearly about 200 participants from different parts of Ukraine. Chess players who took part in competitions were from 6 to 80 years old.
This year, besides the main competition, the best chess players were chosen in 8 additional nominations: athletes with disabilities, women, boys 10-13, 14-16 years old, girls 10-16 years old, children under 10 years, veterans 60-70 years old and the 70+ veterans. The chess tournament was held due to the Swiss system in 9 rounds and for the first time, the international rating FIDE was calculated.
The tournament was won by current Ukrainian champion Petro Holubka. Oleh Terletskyi became second, and Natalia Buksa, the world champion among juniors, won the third place. Congratulations to the winners!
