On March 25 in the Lviv UVP (No. 19) was held "Open doors Day". NGO "Community Development" agreed to hold to the dependents of the insulator chess tournament.
Members of the NGO "Community Development" acquainted with the procedure and conditions of detention of persons taken into custody, saw how suspects are serving sentences. Also present were representatives of the public Council under Office of the State Penitentiary services in Lviv region, public prosecutor's office and courts, state and public organizations and the management of territorial administration.
The event began with a meeting with the chief LUVP. The representative of the NGO "Community Development" told about activity of public organizations and on possible ways of cooperation, in particular regarding the possibility of submitting joint grant applications in the field of corrections, maximum assistance in the conduct of various events. Especially interested everybody chess tournament.
In addition, chief of LUVP discussed the issue of transfer of the Lviv Remand No. 19 outside of the city and agreed on the initiation of this matter at the next meeting of the public Council.
The next "Open Day" in Remand No. 30 is scheduled on April 7.
