On the first of September the strikers-buses came to routes
Yesterday, August 31, at 18. 00 second meeting was held in the LCC with the participation of officials, leaders of ATP, activists of the NGO "Community Development" and trade Union representatives of private carriers.
The latter offered a number of temporary mechanisms for the settlement of transportations of passengers-exempts. Some of them, the head of the legal Department of the LCC Helena Payonkevych, called illegal and that the City Council will not adopt. But even a few solutions to this problem were acceptable. Now officials are working on them. Carriers decided to make a step towards the city hall, and today, on September 1, went on their routes. Moreover, they want to take Lviv citizens on work and study, as they did yesterday morning, despite the strike.
At the same time on 1 September arranged a meeting of the Deputy Commission together with the participants of yesterday's meeting to define a single temporary method of sequencing problems with preferential categories of passengers. Carriers, who for the last two days conducted a protest action “For the safety and quality of transportations” will invite to the meeting representatives of organizations of beneficiaries, to agree the best mechanism of transport. The carriers say that this mechanism should be adopted by the session or by the Executive Committee of the City Council as temporary. It will act, while the municipality will implement a single plastic identity preferential, preferential ticket, or targeted assistance to passengers who are beneficiaries. That is, until a global solution, which gives the opportunity to make a clear accounting of privileged passengers, taking the load on each driver and eliminate all the "fake" identity.
It was confirmed on the eve by the mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
Private carriers consider that the strike and dialogue with the government is the impetus to improvement of transport system in Lviv in general. They also want effective work with officials and leaders of the ATP in the working group of public transport on the transport issues within LCC relative to the other solutions of global transport problems. This was discussed in the requirements, that the protesters published on the first day of the campaign. The strikers believe that in the process you need to take into account the interests of the owners of the minibuses, and of passengers-exempts and passengers who pay the fare. All have the right on safe and quality transportation.
P. S. Carriers had the right to strike and expect that the leaders of the ATP will fulfill their promises and will not dismiss or otherwise oppress them. This promise was made at the meeting. Heads of ATP expressed readiness to sign a letter of guarantee about that.
