In Ternopil due to the Independence Day was held cleaning up

NGOs of Ternopil "Community Development" and "Dzherela" jointly conducted clean up. To cooperate can everyone.

Independence day is a special holiday for every Ukrainian. In Ternopil activists decided to make something useful and hold a community work day in honor of this day. Public activists believe that clean and tidy streets - this is the best gift for Ukrainians and our country.

“Toloka” (clean up) is an old Ukrainian custom. It was organized to perform emergency work requiring a large number of people: the harvest, deforestation, construction of houses, common grazing and the like. Cleanup is sometimes used for public works (construction of churches, schools, libraries, roads and the like).

In the “Toloka” the villagers participated, that is, work “tolokoyu”(together), voluntarily and for nothing, without requiring payment for their work. Usually a person in favor of whom worked, treated the workers. Also commonplace was the end of the cleanup festivities — dancing and singing.

To join the cleaning and landscaping of the territory activists invited everyone

We remind that activists of the NGO "Community Development" not the first time carried out the clean up day. Recently Chervonograd Department has organized the cleaning of the old cemetery in their city
