All-Ukrainian project "So different – but equal"from NGO "Community Development"(“Rozvytok Hromady”) took place in Stryi

Social relay Stryi cell of the NGO "Community Development" adopted at colleagues from Novoyavorivsk. On 1 December in the exhibition hall of the Museum "Verkhovyna" people with disabilities worked on the canvases.

Help to amateur artists to cope with the task, professional brush holders, activist of NGO "Community Development" Andriy Fedunyak and Stryi artist Ihor Melnyk. During the creative process there was a special atmosphere. Each participant was immersed in his own world of emotions and sensations. It seemed that the people who first sat for the painting work in this field for a long time.

Each chose its own theme. Livsha Jaroslav reproduced the incredible scenery of the Carpathian Mountains, Tetiutska Tetiana gathered in a vase a magnificent bouquet of Tulips, and Iryna Smirnova has opened his vision of space sky. Good mood was added by the music that accompanied the entire creative process in the hall. An employee of the Museum Maria Meduh gave to the project organizers and participants captivating melodies of Ukrainian carols.

According to Stryi artist Igor Melnyk projects are a great opportunity to unleash the hidden potential of people who have certain physical limitations and thus to involve them actively in public life. The project "So different – but equal" became for him a great opening and the ideological founder, to continue to organize workshops for people and children with disabilities.

Upon completion of the action the audience can see three special works of art "Nature of the Carpathians", "Space Stars" and "Flowers Under my Window". All were satisfied, and the result of the creative collaboration will be known after the auction where special paintings will be put up for sale. For the proceeds will be installed ramps for people with disabilities.

We will remind that the project "So different – but equal"  started on 15 September in Lviv on Prospekt Shevchenko, near the monument to V. Ivasiuku. Later it was held in Ternopil and Novoyavorivsk.
