In December 2002, the President of Ukraine signed a decree № 1121/2002 about the establishment in Ukraine a professional holiday - Day of Advocacy, which is celebrated annually on 19 December.

The legal department of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" has sent dozens of complaints and protests to government agencies, protecting residents from arbitrary and unlawful acts of officials.
