There are incentives for persons awarded with the order of the heavenly hundreds
September 24, entered into force the Law “On amendments to some laws of Ukraine, concerning the social protection of persons who were awarded with the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes”. What kind of assistance from the state can expect families of heroes, where to go and who will receive an increase to their pensions, - explained the lawyer of the NGO“Rozvytok Hromady” (“Community Development”) Andriy Bolyubash.
Amendments introduced in Art.11 and Art.16, of the Law “On the status of war veterans, and guarantees of their social protection” in paragraph supplementing the list of persons who have special merits to the Motherland.
According to the amendments to Paragraph 1, of Article 1, of the Law "On pensions for special merits before Ukraine", for people awarded with the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, also belong a pension for special merits.
According to the Law "On State Awards" Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes is awarded, for civil courage, patriotism, defending the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, charitable, humanistic, social activities in Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, discovered during the Revolution of dignity (November 2013 - February 2014), and other events related to the protection of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Amendments introduced in Art.11 and Art.16, of the Law “On the status of war veterans, and guarantees of their social protection” in paragraph supplementing the list of persons who have special merits to the Motherland.
“Persons awarded with the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, will be paid an annual cash assistance, also will be granted the right for reduced fare, supplementary pensions, the provision of medicines, and sanatorium-resort treatment. They will be exempt from rent, from utilities (water, sewer, gas, electricity, hot water, central heating)” - said A. Bolyubash.
According to the amendments to Paragraph 1, of Article 1, of the Law "On pensions for special merits before Ukraine", for people awarded with the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, also belong a pension for special merits.
“Pension for special merits is established, as an increase in the amount of 35 to 40% of the subsistence minimum, defined for persons unable to work. In 2014, the subsistence minimum for disabled persons is 949 UAH.”- explained the lawyer.
