The head of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" was invited to the TRC "Lviv" to discuss a judicial reform

The head of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" ("Community Development") Andriy Bolyubash, participated in the television show "On Time". The main point of discussion was the judicial reform, announced by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the press-conference on the 27 of October.
 
There was an active discussion, regarding the importance of judicial reform, possible measures for its implementation, and conclusions of the Venice Commission.

During the meeting, the representative of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" noted the need of changing the Constitution, elimination of political influence, the cancellation of the five-year period of appointment of judges and their inviolability.

Andriy Bolyubash said: “It is also necessary to lift restrictions concerning the amount of accepted cases. Decisions must be legally motivated and all the arguments must be reflected.”
 

Human rights activist noted the need for certification of judges at all levels, establishment of military courts and existing of specialization, which would be based on international practice.

“Of course, the courts need the purification of personnel. This could be solved by the certification of judges of all courts,”- said the head of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady".
