Human rights activist: “Next year conscripts will not serve in Anti-Terrorist Operation”

Next year the call-up of 40 thousand citizens to military service is planned, but no conscripts will be sent on the Anti-Terrorist Operation area.

The announcement of the Ministry of Defense was explained by the legal department of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady"  : “the purpose of the cycle of the partial mobilization, which will take place in 2015, is to create a strong reserve and the replacement of those who served in active service the prescribed period”.

Recruits will be trained in five training centers of the Armed Forces in the cities of Poltava, Zhytomyr, villages Vasyl'kiv, Desna and Starychi, and then they will completely replace conscripts in the places of permanent deployment of military units outside the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).

“A new wave of mobilization of the Armed Forces and other military units conducted evenly throughout Ukraine. The first stage of the partial mobilization in 2015 will start on 20 January and will last 90 days. The second and third phases will begin in April and June and will last 60 days. The next wave of mobilization will include the same category of citizens as during the third, second or first stages of mobilization”, - said a layer Andriy Bolyubash.

Recruits will be obliged to pass 25-day training at the Training Centre of the Armed Forces, where instructors who took part in the fighting in the area of ATO will train them. After that the combat coordination unit will be held, which also lasts for 25-days.
