NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" helped to renovate the scene in one of the oldest theaters in Ukraine

Our NGO responded to the request to help the theatre of Maria Zankovetska  in Lviv.

The history of the theater began in 1847 in Lviv, inthe very same building, which dates back some years before. Since then, according to the staff, the renovation in the buildingwas made in the postwar period. The building of the theater of Maria Zankovetska is an architectural monument of national importance and is protected by UNESCO. But money for the renovation of the building are dramatically lacking.

"The deputies come and promise to help especially before the elections. But the real financial aid does not come. Usually everything ends up only in words "- somebody is talking in the theater.

The theater asked for help the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady". The main help they needed, which is the most important for each theater - was the repair of the stage. The part of the funds for the repair collected the artists themselves, the rest - addedour NGO.

Thanks to the efforts of the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" the floor on the stage was repaired. The cover scene was replaced for a new quality material - pine and the bearing supports were strengthened. The lightening in the theaterwas replaced, as it was almost in disrepair and it needed the urgent repair. I should add that a few months ago there had been a regrettable incident during a performance, when the  extender burned out in the place of connection, he could not stand the loading.

"When we faced the problem with this scene, I was blown away, with the response of the residents of Lviv, who found this problem" - shared AndrewMatsyak, the Director of the theater of Mariya Zankovetska.

The theater has supported the initiative of  the NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" and wrote the application for admission to the organization to assist in the implementation of other charitable community projects.

The theater actors and all the stuff are helping actively the soldiers from the area of ATO. They played a charity performance, from which the funds were transferred to the needs of the Ukrainian military. The representatives of the theater went to the area of ATO alone and gave the soldiers the warm clothes and the essential appliances for checkpoints.
