"Christmas in Lviv" of the NGO " Rozvytok Hromady" stunned the children from Debaltsevo
More than 30 children of 7-11 classes spent two days in the capital of Galicia where they spent an interesting program. During this visit they were accompanied by adults from Debaltsev a city in the Donetsk region.
NGO "Rozvytok Hromady" organized a warm and sincere meeting for their guests:they went skating and had a dinner at the “Medic” entertainment complex. Childrenwere very happy about the three hours they’ve spent there.
"Plast" ( a National Scout Organization of Ukraine), which is working in partnership with our NGO, held two major sightseeing tours throughthe city. During these tours the guests got to see the highlights of the city including the Cathedral of St. George and the Church of Olga and Elizabeth.
The children also spent two hours in the office of the organization playing an inflammatory and active team game. They were detained there for a few minutes by the creative children's writer Ljubov Viduta.

- “I find it interesting here in the western Ukraine. The buildings are so beautiful, I have never seen buildings like this before.” - Goingthrough the city by the "Miracle Train" Mykytka Derevyanko shared his excitement about the visit.
The children had the opportunity to visit the show “"Angels descend from heaven" in the courtyard of the City Hall of the Lviv Academic Theatre. But as it seemed, not only the children, but also the adults watched the air-fire show with poorly concealed amazement and admiration.
The walk-through the city also had a unique impression onthe small and big guests from Debaltsevo. Smiling and friendly people from Lviv, cheerful and noisy children, everyone welcomed our guests. The Easterners also surprised us with their knowledge of Christmas carols, which they sung. The smallest guest - Christina told a long and beautiful Christmas celebration poem during the Christmas time in Lviv.
Artem Aleksenko (a pupil of the seventh grade from Debaltsevo) was the only guest who didn’t seem to like very much, except for the skating.As he said: "the food is not proper, it is boring and everything nerves me here." He kept repeating these sentences like a mantra. But Mrs. Alla, who accompanied the children, shared Artem his secret with us. He has just created an image of unsatisfied person. And when one day she accidentally heard Artem’s conversation with his mother on the phone, we heard: "Mom, it is very cool here! The people are very kind, friendly and helpful. I really like to be here"!
By the end of the visit, the children did not want to go home. Some of them even suggested the idea that they could remain in Lvivforever. Allof them realized that there is no difference between east and west Ukrainians, and that nobody wants to be an enemy.The children discovered that they will be understood, loved and helped here. A we do and want to continue doing, especially in Galicia.
