"We are very pleased that we had such a tournament. Personally, I love to play chess, my father has taught me in childhood. I remember that on the Maidan we also played chess and held tournaments. Today's session with Andriy Vovk brought me a lot of pleasure", - said Igor.

The tournament lasted about two hours. The grandmaster played simultaneously against several opponents, making the move he went to the next Board, and so till the eng of all the parties. Among the participants of the game the GM has allocated two strong contenders.

"When the activists of the NGO "Community Development" offered me to participate in a chess tournament, I immediately agreed. Today I see, that the fighters like this game, and this for me is the most important. If I’ll have spare time, be sure I’ll take part in the next tournaments", - says grandmaster Andriy Vovk.

Long-term rehabilitation after being wounded in the war for soldiers is a complex process, both mentally and physically. In order to support guys who have returned from the front lines, activists of the "Community Development" make a lot of efforts. Conducting chess tournament activists wanted to maintain their mood and show that the public remembers them.

"The main thing is that everybody were happy. Of course, we will continue to work to diversify their leisure time and do everything possible to expedite their recovery," - said campaign organizer, an activist of the NGO "Community Development" Andriy Feduniak.
